'Internet Safety' 


Internet is one of the most important and helpful places to many people in the world and is used for entertainment purposes. It's   also a good place for kids and education as there's countless resources out there to gain knowledge. But at the same time internet can also be a very dangerous place because of suspicious websites. Internet can lead kids into inappropriate websites, lured into dangerous situations where they could become a victim of abduction and pedophiles. You must always watch your child activities and warn them about the dangers. Another big issue is privacy and the access to your own personal details such as credit cards and identity. Overall internet safety must be taught in the educational programs and schools to bring awareness as how one can protect self and others.

ere is some important key points to remember for internet safety:  


  1. Follow the family rules and those set by the internet service provider
  2. Never post or trade personal pictures
  3. Never reveal personal information,such as address, phone number,school name or location
  4. Never respond to a threatening email, message, post ,or text. 
  5. Always tell a parent or other trusted adult about any communication or conversation that was scary or hurtful.
  6. Keep the computer in a common area where you can watch and monitor any time spent on smartphone or tablets.
  7. Take your child seriously if he or she reports an uncomfortable online exchange
  8. Keep personal information professional and limited 
  9. Keep your privacy settings on 
  10. Practice safe browsing 
  11. Make sure your internet connection is secure.
  12. Be careful what you download.
  13. Choose strong passwords.
  14. Be careful who you meet online 
  15. Be careful what you post
